Meet Our Dental Team – Norman, OK

Samantha, Practice Manager

Samantha and Dr. Carmen met while they were undergraduates at the University of Oklahoma. She remembers their first date where he shared his aspirations of becoming a dentist and why it was important to him. All these years later, she gets a front row seat to watch her husband make his dreams come true! Samantha has been with our practice since day one and even oversaw the construction of our current office. Before that, she worked as a District Sales Representative for Russell Stover and was eventually promoted to District Manager. She went on to get her master’s in education and taught in Moore public schools before having children.

Today, Samantha oversees all of the business aspects of our practice, and she and Dr. Carmen have been married for over 30 years. They have three grown children (with the oldest being a dental student at OU), and away from the office, she likes to work in her yard, travel, and go boating with family and friends.

Mary, Administrator

Mary has had an amazing 50+ year dental career, and she says the key to her longevity has been getting to work with great teams along with great patients. She started as a dental assistant and even taught vocational dental assisting for six years. Over the decades, she has completed continuing education through the Pankey Institute, Las Vegas Institute, and the JP Institute.

Mary and her husband have been together for over 45 years, and they have one adult daughter. In her free time, she likes to play guitar, paint with watercolors, sew, kayak, hike, and read.

Danielle, Certified Dental Assistant

Danielle joined us in 2022 and brings over 15 years of experience to our practice. She loves seeing our patients’ smiles and confidence transform right before her eyes. She graduated from California State University, Fresno and San Joaquin Valley College and has attended numerous weekend workshops and certification programs over the years.

Danielle and her husband love to travel, and to date, they have been to over 10 different countries! You’ll often find her on the beach snorkeling or boogie boarding, and she also likes to hike and snowboard in the winter. She also sews clothing and never turns down a music festival.

Shannon, Dental Hygienist

Shannon is a 30+ year dental veteran, and she absolutely loves being surrounded by a cohesive staff that delivers the best possible care to our patients every single day. She has her associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Rose State College and does 10 hours of continuing education each year.

Shannon and her husband, Mike, have been married for over 30 years, and they have three children as well as two precious grandsons. At home, she likes to relax by watching college football, usually with a Sonic Diet Coke with vanilla in her hand. She’s always eager to travel for new food experiences, but she always makes time to spoil her grandbabies.

Andi, Administrator

Andi has been with us for over half of her 20+ year dental career, and she deeply enjoys getting to know our patients and helping them address their oral health concerns by ensuring they understand their dental benefits.

Andi and her husband, Jody, have a teenage son and daughter at home, and they keep her busy because they are very active in sports. When she can get away, she likes to travel and be outdoors.

Dax, Dental Assistant

Dax started her career in dentistry with us, and she loves seeing our patients’ reactions after we elevate their smiles. She shadowed in several dental offices before eventually going to OU and getting her assisting license. She recently was accepted into the University of Oklahoma’s dental hygiene program and will begin this August!

Outside of the office, she likes to stay fit by doing Pilates, spend time with family, and try new coffee shops with friends.

Jenny, Dental Hygienist

Jenny says that it’s her dedication to patient care and the relationships she has built over the years that have kept her engaged and passionate for over 25 years in dentistry. She attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology and worked in New York, Washington DC, and North Carolina before joining us. Originally from Pennsylvania, most of her free time is taken up by her twin boy and girl.

Eva, Dental Hygienist

Eva has over 30 years of dental experience, and she says the best thing about her job is the people—referring to both our patients as well as her fellow team members! She is a graduate of the OU College of Dentistry and has her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.

Eva has two children as well as two grandchildren, and when she isn’t spending time with them, she likes to work in her yard and walk her three dogs.

Liz, Dental Hygienist

Liz says that it’s the little things that make her love her job, like the giggles children make when she polishes their teeth. She has been a part of the dental world for over 25 years and started her career as an assistant after graduating from Rose State College. She went on to get her bachelor’s in dental hygiene from OU, and today, she is the Chairperson for the Canadian River Component of the Oklahoma Dental Hygienists Association. She was actually very afraid of the dentist as a child and teen, and she believes that because she went through a lot with her own teeth, it motivated her to go into dentistry.

Liz and her husband, Monty, have two amazing children as well as two dogs, and when she’s not at work, she is kept busy driving her kids between their various activities. She serves on the children’s ministry team at New Life Bible Church and loves all things involving Disney and musical theater!

Kaylee, Office Administrator

Kaylee is all about creating strong and lasting relationships with our patients. She began as a Sterile Tech while still in high school and eventually decided to be a part of the front office team. Before joining us, she worked at a pediatric dental office.

Kaylee is engaged to her high school sweetheart, and they have an American bulldog named Kong. She loves to take him on walks, spend time with her little nieces, and listen to all kinds of music.
