Bobby J. Carmen, DDS, FAGD, FICOI, FDOCS
Dr. Carmen is a skilled clinician in the fields of cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry. Since his graduation from the University of Oklahoma College Of Dentistry, Dr. Carmen has continued to expand his dental knowledge and skills by completing thousands of hours of continuing education at fine institutions across the nation. His post doctoral studies include an intensive year long residency in General Practice at Great Lakes Hospital in which Dr. Carmen was able to study and practice under specialists in every aspect of dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Carmen has completed the LSU Cosmetic Dentistry Continuum studying under pioneers in the field of cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Carmen’s accomplishments in this field have helped him to achieve sustaining member status in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Carmen believes that through pursuing the very best in postdoctoral education, he can bring the best dentistry possible to his patients in Oklahoma. Additionally, he has studied at the world renowned Dawson Academy, Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, and completed the Misch International Implant Institute. Dr. Carmen’s vast post doctoral transcript resulted in his recognition of Fellowship Status with the Academy of General Dentistry. Achieving Fellowship in the AGD is one of the few added distinctions a general dentist can achieve.
The AGD is the only professional association dedicated to exclusively serving the interests and needs of the general dentist. To earn Fellowship in the AGD, dentists must take more than 500 hours of educational courses in various disciplines and pass a rigorous exam. Dr. Carmen is one of only 7 percent of general dentists who have achieved this honor. Even more impressive, is the fact that Dr. Carmen achieved the honor after only 8 years of practice. Additionally, Dr. Carmen is a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology and the Dental Organziation for Conscious Sedation. Dr. Carmen is a member of the following professional organizations: American Dental Association; Oklahoma Dental Association; Cleveland County Dental Society; Seattle Study Club, Red Earth Chapter; Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation; International Congress of Oral Implantologists; Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists.
Although many patients seek out Dr. Carmen due to his impressive resume, they often find his pleasant and calming chairside manner to be his best trait. Patients, both young and old, benefit from his open, communicative nature and his ability to thoroughly explain treatment plans that deliver optimal dental health and confident, attractive smiles.
Dr. Carmen and his wife Samantha live in Norman with their three young children, Taylor, Brooks, and Reece.
Meet the Team
Angie
Angie expertly assists Dr. Carmen in delivering comprehensive patient care. She has over 17 years of professional experience assisting both general practitioners and endodontic specialists. Her clinical experience and gentle techniques make her an invaluable member of our team. Angie enjoys spending time with husband Ron and her two girls, during the summer she enjoys time at the lake with family and friends.
Eva
Eva graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene in 1996. Prior to receiving her degree, Eva worked in other capacities in the dental office, accumulating over 14 years of professional experience. Patients of all ages enjoy Eva's caring chairside manner and thorough oral hygiene techniques. Away from the office, Eva volunteers with her church and spends time with her family.
Misty
As our patient care coordinator, Misty specializes in explaining treatment plans and maximizing insurance benefits for our patients. If you have any questions about cost of treatment, payment options, or specific therapies, Misty will gladly provide a detailed explanation. In her spare time, Misty enjoys traveling, OKC Thunder basketball games, and most of all spending time with her husband Kyle and son Landen. Misty has been an intricate part of Dr. Carmen's team since 2006.
Kylee
Originally from Edmond, Kylee has been practicing hygiene for 11 years, graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene in 1998. In high school, Kylee's nickname was Smiley Kylee, and things haven't changed since then. Her outgoing personality and easy nature put patients at ease. Kylee enjoys running and spending time with her husband Ryan and their young son Levi. Saturdays in the fall, you can find her at Oklahoma football games cheering on her beloved Sooners.
Andi
In Andi’s family, dentistry is a family tradition. She has been serving as a treatment coordinator for over 7 years, following in her mother’s footsteps. Andi, along with Misty, serves as the welcome committee for our office. Andi can answer all of your questions about scheduling, cost of treatment, or coordinating insurance benefits. She is mom to a Golden Retriever Sophie, and two cats, Tanner and Tink. She also volunteers her time at the Oklahoma Humane Society. She enjoys gardening, hiking, and camping.
